Here at DT SERVICES we can offer you installation of complete under floor heating systems.
Underfloor heating is a form of central heating and cooling which achieves indoor climate control. There are of course both pros and cons, and many different types of system available, as with all of our services we can help you choose what’s right for you.
Underfloor heating systems use either electrical resistance elements (“electric systems”) or fluid flowing in pipes (“hydronic systems”) to heat the floor. Either type can be installed as the primary, whole-building heating system or as localized floor heating for thermal comfort. We specialise in ‘Wet’ Underfloor heating that can be linked to your condensing boiler.
How underfloor heating works
Wet (hydronic) underfloor heating circulates warm water, through a continuously looping pipe system beneath your floor. The result is a large radiant surface; the entire floor area becoming what is effectively a radiator, warming your home from the floor upwards. Underfloor Heating requires only low temperature warm water and is ideal for use with modern condensing boilers and air source heat pumps. Comfort levels are high while running costs are low.
The Benefits of underfloor heating
Economic – can save you between 15-30% on your heating bill
Environmental – efficient and compatible with renewable energy sources
Comfort – more warmth where you want it
Aesthetics – allows you the freedom to design your rooms without radiators
Space Saving – removes the need for bulky radiators
Health & Hygiene – eliminates dust mites and hard to reach space behind the radiator
